Radiofrequency (RF) Treatment
How does Radiofrequency Work?
What can Radiofrequency treat?
Procedure and Treatment
Before beginning your treatment, the therapist will cleanse your face. After the face is prepped, a handheld device emitting radiofrequency will be directed over the treatment site several times. During treatment, your skin will feel comfortably warm as it is heated to between 38 and 40 degrees for best results. It takes about 30 minutes to treat the entire face.
For best results, a series of six to twelve sessions spread out over several months is recommended. Your healthcare professional may also recommend radiofrequency skin treatments in combination with injectables, microneedling, and other minimally invasive treatments.
Who is Radiofrequency Suitable For?
Everyone can do radiofrequency treatment except people with:
- Pregnancy
- Broken capillaries
- Rosacea or sensitivity to heat
- Electrical devices like pacemakers or metal implants
